Pedagogical staff training for foreign citizens at Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University began in the 50s of the 20th century. After gaining independence, as a continuation of the reforms carried out in the fields of education in our republic, purposeful activities were carried out to improve the quality of education of foreign students. Over the past years, hundreds of foreign citizens graduated from Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University in various specialties and acquired the honorable profession of teacher.

In March 2015, a department for work with foreign students was established on the basis of the Faculty of Foreign Students' Affairs of ASPU and the Department of Preparation for Foreign Students. In December 2017, the name of the department was changed to Department of Work with Foreign Students. In its activities, it provides services to foreign students studying at ASPU and all foreign citizens who want to study under ASPU's vice-rector for international relations.

Our activity

• Reception of foreign citizens who come to study at ASPU, help with accommodation (dormitory), organization of on-site implementation of all laws and normative acts intended for foreigners and regulation of compliance with those rules;
• Supporting the organization of the educational process of foreign students together with the relevant departments of ASPU;
• Organization of training for foreign listeners;
• Acquaint foreign students joining the new educational process with the services of the university (tutor, migration, library, medicine, canteen, dormitory, etc.);
• Monitoring compliance with the internal disciplinary rules of ASPU, as well as the relevant legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
• Organization of cultural-mass works, international and national events with foreign students;
• Preparation of information and reports in the approved form about foreign students, and their submission.
