The international relations department is responsible for the management and development of the international activities of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU) and its structural divisions, ensures the protection of its interests and rights in international areas, the improvement and control of its international relations activities. The main priority in establishing international relations is the issues of increasing and developing the experiences of university employees and students.

  • Our goala are establishing and developing international cooperation;
  • Drafting of international documents (agreement, memorandum of understanding, protocol, contract) on the field;
  • Organizing visits of representatives of foreign countries invited by the university or structural divisions and leading this events;
  • Signing cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding with foreign higher education institutions and international organizations and carrying out student-teacher-employee exchange within the framework of the signed documents;
  • Management of international programs and projects;

The department of international projects and grants ensures the development and implementation of various projects in accordance with the direction of the university's activity, researching the possibilities of applying international experience, cooperating with local and foreign enterprises, international organizations, and science funds. Studying advanced local and international experience in the field of projects and grants, organizing the information work of university professors,teachers, students, and administrative staff in grant competitions and international projects, increasing their potential, and ensuring their participation are also among the priorities of the International Projects and Grants Department. One of the responsibilities of the department is to organize training on project management and other related topics in order to increase the capacity of the university, its structural units, administrative and academic staff, and students for successful participation in international projects and grants. Participation in international and local programs and projects, as well as conducting consulting work in the field of preparation of application documents required for obtaining grants, as well as the official package of documents that are part of the application and confirm the suitability of the university's participation in scientific, educational, innovative programs, grant competitions, and international projects in accordance with the rules Ensuring appropriate preparation is considered one of the responsibilities of the International Projects and Grants Department. In addition to the above-mentioned tasks, creation of an electronic database for the department, entering relevant information into the electronic database, updating the database; participation in meetings, events or seminars held in the university and outside the university, and the process of organizing media coverage of the events can be mentioned as one of the department's activities.

As part of the exchange programs implemented by the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, a large number of students and teaching staff of the university participate in trainings and seminars covering the fields of education and training in different countries. Exchange programs are implemented on the basis of agreements signed with our partner universities and institutions. Participation of students in the announced programs is carried out on the basis of choice and free of charge.

Mevlana:
Mevlana Exchange Program (MEP) – aims to exchange students and teachers between higher educational institutions providing education in Turkey and higher educational institutions providing education outside the country. Students and teachers from partner universities can mutually benefit from this program. The Mevlana Exchange Program is named in honor of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, a well-known Persian-speaking poet and representative of pantheistic philosophy. Students who want to participate in the exchange program can benefit from the program by teaching for at least one, at most two semesters of study, and teachers for at least 2 weeks, at most 3 months in higher education institutions in Turkey (if the bilateral Mevlana Exchange Protocol is signed). Who can participate in the Mevlana Exchange Program? Preparatory, bachelor's, master's and doctoral students enrolled in all higher educational institutions in Turkey (higher educational institutions that have signed the Protocol of the Mevlana Exchange Program) in the Mevlana Exchange Program, all teaching staff working in domestic and foreign higher education institutions can participate in the program. The academic activity of teachers during the exchange period should not be less than six hours in total. Lessons are given the main place in the calculation of hours of activities performed by teachers. Academic activities such as holding seminars, conferences and discussions are also taken into account when class hours do not exceed 6 hours per week. Exchange plans of teachers that do not involve teaching activities are not accepted under the Mevlana Exchange Program. Conditions for participation in the Mevlana Exchange Program: The student must be a preparatory, bachelor's, master's or doctoral student at the higher education institution participating in the program; Preparatory and undergraduate students must have a total academic average of at least 2.5 out of 4 (minimum 65 on a 100-point system); The general academic average score of master's and doctoral students should be at least 3 out of 4 (minimum 77 on a hundred-point system). Transportation expenses Room and board expenses, medical insurance and health care expenses, textbooks, clothing and personal expenses, passport and visa expenses. Residence permit in Turkey within the possibilities of the program, the travel expenses of the incoming and outgoing academic staff will be paid as stated in Turkish legislation. The Executive Board of the Higher Education Council of Turkey will determine the additional grants to be allocated to the academic staff depending on their country and position. Bachelor's and Master's students can apply to their own university in order to continue a study program lasting one semester or one academic year at a partner university. It is clear that each university will nominate high-achieving and accomplished students for exchange. The host university will make the final decision on the admission of each student nominated for exchange. Both universities will review the program annually to identify imbalances in the number of exchange students and, if necessary, adjust the number of students for the following year in order to maintain the exchange balance. The host university has the right to withdraw students from limited enrollment courses. Unless there are exceptions, students must meet language proficiency and other admission requirements in accordance with the rules set by the host university. TC universities where the language of instruction is English will require certain formal indicators of English language proficiency from non-native English speakers. Exchange students must agree to all laws and regulations of the host university.
