The administrative and economic department of the Pedagogical University has been operating since 1930. At present, the technical staff of 153 people is working in the department.

The department performs housekeeping services in the buildings of ASPU ("Sabail", "Ganclik", "Nasimi", "Tabriz"), ensures that the elevators, lighting system, ventilation (in laboratories) are in good condition, and the necessary conditions are created for the efficient work of employees.

Supervises the high-quality execution of repair work in educational buildings, provision of normal lighting, heating systems, plumbing infrastructure of sanitary junctions of all rooms, provision of work rooms of structural units, auditoriums with necessary inventory and furniture, their protection and timely repair.

Leads the conclusion of contracts for service work, purchase and maintenance of stationery, household materials, equipment, inventory, landscaping, greening, cleaning, inventory, carries out fire protection measures, ensures that fire protection equipment is kept in working condition. He directs the economic, cultural and household affairs of the university. Monitors the sanitary-hygienic situation in the auditoriums, dormitories and canteens of the Pedagogical University.

Each of the 4 teaching corps of the Pedagogical University located in different districts of Baku has a commandant who regulates the economic activity.

626 IDP families (2315 people) settled in 5 dormitories of the university located in different areas of Baku city. This has a serious effect on the socialization of students, most of whom are from regions, on receiving quality education, on the mobility of students and teachers, and on the attraction of foreign students to ASPU.

The Pedagogical University has a large infrastructure. Since most of the buildings are old, there is a need for regular repairs. In recent years, the 3rd floor of the "Sabail" building has undergone major repairs. All heating lines, electricity supply have been updated, the roof area of ​​the building is up to 800 sq/m, 26 auditoriums, 16 work rooms have been overhauled. All renovated auditoriums are equipped with new desks, blackboards and other equipment. The facade of the 14-story educational building was covered with fire-resistant, composite ceramic material, and all doors and windows were replaced with better ones. The replacement of the facade of the building was carried out by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation on the order of the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva. The multi-thousand-strong collective of ADPU values ​​this fact as a manifestation of the country's leadership's attention and concern for education, pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical personnel training.
