Inclusive Education Policy Document of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University

 

In line with the tasks set forth by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU) is committed to adopting and implementing the principles of inclusivity in its educational and scientific-research activities. In accordance with this commitment, ASPU adheres to the following policy to contribute to an inclusive future.

        Purpose

  • Equality and Equal Opportunities: ASPU strives for equality and equal opportunities in education. This includes ensuring fair and equal access to education for every student.
  • Diversity and Different Needs: The university aims to meet the diverse needs of its students. This includes providing support and appropriate conditions for individuals with physical and social needs.
  • Support for Students with Physical and Social Disabilities: ASPU aims to support students with limited physical and social abilities by ensuring their development and continuity in education.

     Directions

  1. Physical Disabilities

Individuals with physical disabilities are supported through inclusive education. This involves creating appropriate conditions for people with physical impairments, such as those who use wheelchairs or have hearing and visual impairments.

  1. Intellectual Disabilities

Inclusive education policy envisions adapting educational programs to meet the needs of individuals with learning disabilities.

  1. Linguistic and Cultural Diversity

Students who require support due to linguistic or cultural differences are included in inclusive education. This includes various strategies to facilitate language learning and to embrace cultural diversity.

  1. Gender Stereotypes

ASPU challenges gender stereotypes and provides all students, regardless of gender, with the opportunity to develop in all areas.

  1. Gifted Students

Talented or specially gifted students are supported through inclusive education. This policy aims to help students realize and fulfill their potential.

  1. Socio-economic Differences

Students from different socio-economic backgrounds are supported through inclusive education. This includes providing necessary resources to help overcome economic difficulties.

      Inclusive education aims to ensure full participation of every individual. This includes all  students regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, or other individual differences.
