Brief biographical information:

Eldar Aslanov was born on January 19, 1976 in Sighirli village of Kurdamir district.

1993-1997,  studied at the Baku Institute of Social Management and Political Science (now the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan) for Bachelor's degree in political science.

Since 1994, has become the chairman of the Azerbaijan Enlightened Youth Organization

Since December 2006, has become the Director of the International Press Club.

1996-2000, the chairman of the commission and the chairman of the Assembly of the National Council of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

1999-2000,  was a member of the Expert Council of Azerbaijan National Forum of NGO, later held other public duties.

In 1997, he worked as an expert of the Permanent Commission of Social Policy under the National Council  (Milli Majlis) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In 1997-1999, he received Master's degree in Public Administration at the Institute of Public Administration of Turkey and the Middle East, defended his Master's thesis on "Analysis of the political, economic and strategic aspects of the oil policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and received Master's degree in Public Administration.

2000-2003, was a responsible person in the Project  of the UN Development Program "Strengthening Civil Society in Azerbaijan".

2003-2007, studied for a doctoral degree in Political Sciences at Ankara University and defended his doctoral thesis on "Reforms in public administration in the Republic of Azerbaijan" (2007).

2007-2008, worked as an expert in the project  of "Institutional Assistance to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the purpose of reducing poverty in the Republic of Azerbaijan by helping the effective development of tourism in the country"

2009-2010, worked as an expert in the project "Increasing the competitiveness of the tourism sector in Azerbaijan".

2007-2011, was the head of the Research and Development Center established by UNDP and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Azerbaijan Institute of Tourism. During the period of his leadership, this center implemented more than 20 research projects.

At various times, he was an expert of the State Support Council for NGOs under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Support Fund for the Development of Mass Media under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Since 2005, has been working at the Department of Public Service and Personnel Policy of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a teacher, then as a senior teacher, and now as an associate professor.

February 2, 2011, was appointed a vice-rector for Educational Affairs of Azerbaijan Tourism Institute, later from December 22, 2014 to December 20, 2017, held the position of vice-rector for Educational Affairs at Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University.

From June 23, 2016 to September 11, 2017, served as the rector of Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management.

By the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 16, 2016, he received the academic title of Associate Professor.

Since December 20, 2017, is the vice-rector for Educational Affairs of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University.

He is married and has two children.
