On May 13, a meeting was held at the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU) with a delegation from the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

The university’s guests included Şamil Ayrım, Chairman of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group; Orhan Erdem, Chairman of the Türkiye-TRNC Interparliamentary Friendship Group; Erdal Özcenk, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU); EMU Rector Professor Hasan Kılıç; and Anıl Kaya, Political Affairs Advisor to the President of the TRNC and a member of the EMU Board of Trustees.

During the meeting, detailed information was presented about the education strategy of ASPU, its international cooperation activities, and future prospects. The sides exchanged views on higher education, student and faculty exchange programs, scientific research collaboration, and the implementation of joint projects. The meeting between ASPU leadership and the delegation was considered a significant step toward further developing educational relations among the brotherly nations.
