ASPU Staff and Graduate Students Participate in Training Program at Hacettepe University

From May 1 to 9, 2025, staff members of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU) and master's students from the SABAH groups, along with official representatives of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education (SASHE), took part in a training visit to Hacettepe University in Ankara, Türkiye. The training program, titled “Higher Education Management”, was organized within the framework of cooperation between SASHE, the SABAH groups, ASPU, and Hacettepe University.

The training was attended by the Head of the SASHE Sector for Cooperation with Higher Education Institutions and Head of the SABAH Groups Project Implementation Committee, Associate Professor Elza Samedova, along with other committee officials; Assistant to the ASPU Rector and Head of the Office Section of the Human Resources and Office Administration Department, PhD in Philology Aygun Heydarova; Head of the Education Programs Department of the Teaching Department, Associate Professor Rahman Safarov; Head of the Master's and Doctoral Studies Department, PhD in Political Science Rashad Sadigov; and first-year graduate students specializing in Management (Organization and Administration of Higher Education).

The training sessions, held at the Faculty of Education at Hacettepe University, covered a range of topics, including higher education policy in the Republic of Türkiye, leadership in higher education, ethics, sustainability, financing of higher education, quality assurance, accreditation, accountability, and evaluation and assessment. In addition to theoretical presentations, practical assignments were also completed.

As part of the program, the delegation became acquainted with the infrastructure of Hacettepe University. They also visited Anıtkabir, the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Friendship Foundation, and the Presidential Nation’s Library of Türkiye. Participants attended various scientific and social meetings, including a panel discussion held within the "Education Summit" on factors contributing to success. Graduate students Asmar Eminli and Nigar Mammadova delivered speeches during the panel.

It should be noted that during the training period, the ASPU leadership conducted a business visit to the Republic of Türkiye. The university delegation, headed by ASPU Rector Professor Jafar Jafarov, took part in official meetings at Hacettepe University and met with participants of the training program. The importance of expanding academic cooperation, implementing joint projects, and exchanging experiences in the field of education and research was emphasized.

At the end of the program, participants were awarded certificates.
